Academics

In Greece, BCA partners with City University of Seattle (CU), which is located in the heart of Athens. Founded in 1973 as City College in Seattle, Washington, City University’s mission is to provide educational opportunities worldwide, primarily to segments of the population not fully served.

In Greece, City University offers more than 50 undergraduate programs covering a variety of academic fields ranging from business management to technology courses, media and communications. Instruction is in English and taught by professors distinguished in the areas of business, education and government.

Students at City University organize activities, including field trips and island excursions. They also publish a quarterly magazine and a year book. In addition, the campus offers professional associations, various seminars and cultural group meetings.

City University Courses

BCA students at City University have access to many of the academic disciplines typically found at a small liberal arts college. The university operates on a quarter system, however, BCA will convert your quarter credits to semester credits upon completion of your studies. Most BCA students register for two CU courses during a semester abroad.

2010-2011 Courses

BCA Courses

BCA Athens students are also required to enroll in the Greek Culture and Contemporary Life (GRE301) orientation course and the Modern Greek Language: Writing and Grammar I (HUM310) course. If you have studied the Greek language, BCA will place you in an advanced language course (in place of HUM310). These two BCA courses make up the rest of the credits you will take for a full semester's worth of credits.
